The Students Union are fed up... mainly with their website. It's the equivalent of an old lady who is beginning to sag. It needs a face lift, perhaps some implants, and a whole lotta squats.
*In comes the Trainer
The decision was made to hire a Multimedia contracter by the name of Zeb. He attended the Selkirk College 'Digital Arts and New Media Program' and is now thrown to the lions; making his way in the financially troubled times we live.
If all goes well, the Sentinel Website and this Student Union website will start shaping up like a tight pair of Patrick Swayze's pants.
Stay tuned...
Students will be collecting donations door to door on halloween night. Donations go to the SCSU Food Bank on campus.
Students face a wide range of challenges to attend school including lack of affordable housing, a transit system that does not suit their needs, increases in tuition fees, and funding cuts.
All donations are greatly appreciated. Please support our students.
Students at Selkirk College are letting their Board of Governors know what they think about the proposed increase to tuition fees voted on Tuesday, February 22, 2011.
This video was presented to the Board of Governors to ask for a vote against the increase.
This day was marked for all students as Black Tuesday: the day that affordable post-secondary education died.
Unfortunately, the increase was approved to the maximum amount allowed by the ministry.
Many thanks to everyone that stood in solidarity with us.
