James Berio
I'm very excited to participate in this year's student union election. I'm looking forward to helping build a strong and resilient student movement on our campuses with your help. Students are at capacity trying to survive juggling studies, exams, and readings as well as high rents, low wages, high tuition costs and unprecedented crises being built onto more crises. It is our responsibility to take action to create a better world, not only for ourselves but also for future students. I intend to help students make their voices heard by those decision-makers who've forgotten the sound of their voices. I am a lead organizer of the Nelson Tenants Union, a member of the BCGEU and a student of the social service worker program. I'd be proud to help represent your needs through the Selkirk College Student Union.
Happy voting.
